Celebrate our important pollinators! Enjoy exhibits, a native plant sale, and other activities throughout the day!
Activities:
- 10:00 a.m. — Butterfly Walk. Discover the many butterflies and other insects that live in LGNC’s habitat gardens! Kids and families are encouraged to attend. Insect nets will be provided.
- 11:00 a.m. — Butterfly Presentation. Enjoy a presentation on the fascinating world of butterflies hosted by Bear Mountain Butterfly Sanctuary‘s very own Butterfly Lady, Mari Gruber!
- Noon — Sensory Garden Walk. See, smell, feel, and listen to the gardens as we stroll along LGNC’s new sensory garden trail!
- 1:00 p.m. — Native Garden Tour. Learn about the 200+ species of native plants in LGNC’s demonstration gardens.
- 2:00 p.m. — Butterfly Walk. Discover the many butterflies and other insects that live in LGNC’s habitat gardens! Kids and families are encouraged to attend. Insect nets will be provided.
- All day activities will include a butterfly photo station, kids’ butterfly tattoos, crafts, cookies, and more!
Native Plant Sale — Select from a large variety of native plants at LGNC’s popular summer plant sale! All proceeds from the plant sale will support LGNC’s native landscaping programs.
“On Gossamer Wings” Art Exhibition — Peruse an exhibition of butterfly-themed artwork produced by LGNC members! Many artists will also have pieces available for sale.

“Krazy Chicken Lady” Food Truck — Don’t leave without sampling some delicious homemade food from the Krazy Chicken Lady!
