Speaker Series: “Long-term Studies of Bat Populations in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area” – Howard “Sandy” Whidden, Ph.D.
East Stroudsburg University mammalogist Howard “Sandy” Whidden will discuss his long- term research on the bats of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. He will include an overview of the natural history of our local bats and then discuss changes to the bat community following the appearance of the introduced fungal disease White-nose Syndrome.
