Enjoy an evening of food, music, and fellowship at LGNC’s Osprey House as we celebrate the launch of the 64th annual Bake Oven Knob Hawk Count! All LGNC Hawk Count Team volunteers are invited to attend. We also welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about the count or volunteering at the Hawk Watch for the first time this year! All food and drinks will be provided.
About the Bake Oven Knob Hawk Count:
For over 60 years, volunteers have counted migrating birds of prey every autumn atop the Blue Mountain at Bake Oven Knob, Lehigh County. Coordinated by LGNC with support from the Pennsylvania Game Commission, the Bake Oven Knob Hawk Count is one of the longest continually-running raptor migration studies in the world. Whether you are an experienced birder or just enjoy being outdoors, please consider joining us at the Hawk Watch this August through November!
