Intermediate/Advanced Watercolor with Kay Stauffer
Wednesdays, March 11-April 15, 2020, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
With such a variety of textures and patterns in nature, many watercolor techniques, such as glazing, masking, dry brush, and splattering, will be introduced to better enable you to paint rocks, trees, water, or whatever subjects you are trying to represent. A basic knowledge of watercolor and brush handling is a must to sign up for this class, which will guide you towards developing your own painting ideas. Composition and principles of design will also be incorporated.
This series of six classes will meet at the Nature Center each Wednesday from March 11 through April 15. Registration fee for all six classes: $48 for members, $60 for non-members. Registration limited to 12 participants and payment is required before the first class begins to reserve your spot. Please pre-register on Eventbrite at the following links:
After registering, you will be sent a materials list. You can purchase the recommended materials at local stores such as Michael’s or Blick (Emmaus). Paper can be purchased at the workshop, $6.00 per sheet, 22”x30.” We will be painting in the first class, so you will need your supplies.
