Donald S. Heintzelman Conservation Library

Lehigh Gap Nature Center is home to one of the finest ornithological, wildlife, and ecology research libraries in the region.

Donald S. Heintzelman Conservation Library

The library was named for Don Heintzelman, founder of the Wildlife Information Center (now Lehigh Gap Nature Center), who donated over 1000 books as well as other WIC and personal collections for the archives. This is currently a non-lending research library. Under no circumstances will users be allowed to remove any books or journals from the premises. The copier will be available for a modest fee per page for library users. Access is by appointment only. Please call or email at least a week in advance to schedule so that resources may be pulled by our staff or librarian. Regular operating hours of LGNC are 9am – 4pm.
