Intermediate/Advanced Watercolor with Kay Stauffer
Wednesdays, March 13-April 17, 2019, 10:00 a.m. to Noon
With such a variety of textures and patterns in nature, many watercolor techniques, such as glazing, masking, dry brush, and splattering, will be introduced to better enable you to paint rocks, trees, water, or whatever subjects you are trying to represent. A basic knowledge of watercolor and brush handling is a must to sign up for this class, which will guide you towards developing your own painting ideas. Composition and principles of design will also be incorporated.
This series of six classes will meet at the Nature Center each Wednesday from March 13 through April 17. Registration fee for all six classes: $30 for members, $50 for non-members. Registration limited to 12 participants.
After registering, you will be sent a materials list. You can purchase the recommended materials at local stores such as AC Moore, Michael’s, or the Blick Store (Emmaus). Paper can be purchased at the workshop, $6.00 per sheet, 22”x30.” We will be painting in the first class, so you will need your supplies.
