Children ages 5 through 12 are invited to explore the art and science of clay sculpting through this exciting new program at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center!

Local artist and certified PA art teacher Patty Passick is offering four Nature-inspired Clay Classes to youth and their families this spring at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center (LGNC). More than a traditional sculpting instruction program, the classes will educate participants on environmental concepts relating to the formation, properties, and uses of clay. In addition, participants will learn a variety of sculpting techniques as they make their own nature-themed artwork to take home. All classes will be held in the laboratory of LGNC’s headquarters, the Osprey House, 8844 Paint Mill Rd., Slatington, PA.

When:
Wednesdays, May 10, 17, 24, and 31 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

Cost Per Class:
Children of LGNC members: $15/individual child; $10/sibling
Children of nonmembers: $15/child
Parents/guardians: FREE
All materials will be provided by the instructor.

Registration is limited to ten kids (plus families), so please register at the following link soon to reserve your spot: http://ow.ly/mR87307PkZL. You may register for any or all of the classes. Each class will have a different theme and project. For more information, please contact Program Specialist Chad Schwartz at chad.schwartz@lgnc.org.
